Audio Trimmer

Open an audio file, select the exact clip on its waveform, then save it as WAV or MP3.

Your audio never leaves this browser

Open audio

Choose the file to trim

Or drag and drop a file onto this field.

Choose one browser-decodable file up to 100 MB and 5 minutes. Very high-rate audio may reach the 128 MB decoded-memory limit sooner. Decoding, preview, and export require JavaScript.

How it works

Trim audio online in three steps

Make one focused clip from a voice note, song, podcast, or other audio file without uploading it to a server.

  1. 01
    Open an audio file.

Choose one browser-decodable file up to 100 MB and 5 minutes long. Mono and stereo audio are supported within a 128 MB decoded-memory limit.

  2. 02
    Set and preview the range.

Drag either border on the waveform to set the clip, fine-tune it with keyboard controls, then press Space to preview or stop the selection.

  3. 03
    Download WAV or MP3.

Keep uncompressed PCM audio in a WAV file or create a smaller MP3 for sharing.

01 / Privacy

Cut audio without uploading it

Decoding, preview, trimming, and encoding run locally on your device. Nanomite does not upload or store the source file or finished clip.

02 / Formats

Choose WAV quality or compact MP3

WAV uses uncompressed 16-bit PCM and is well suited to later editing. MP3 is lossy, but its smaller files are easier to share.

03 / Browser support

Use audio formats your browser can decode

Source format support varies by browser and operating system. If a file will not open, convert it to WAV or MP3 first and try again.
